The project has been a partnership between different people and organisations.
The project has operated with a half-time Project Officer, alongside partly funded administrative and managerial assistance from Pathways Associates. Key project support has also come from a Project Advisor, a number of enthusiastic volunteers, and a Project Advisory Group made up of people with learning disabilities, family advocates as well as friends and allies of the project.
In addition, vital to the work of the project has been the participation of a number of organisations: Lancashire County Council Museums Service and Archives Service (both despite all the cuts!), Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust, Calderstones Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, Blackburn Central High School, Manchester Metropolitan University, Your Support Your Choice and Brothers of Charity Services.
However, at the heart of the project, and website, has been the many people who have willingly contributed time, memories and photographs, documents or other materials to do with their experiences. Their names (if permitted) appear throughout the website.
To everyone who has helped the project – a big thanks!
